Capricorn

1. My career…

a. I don’t like the word “career” because it is too limiting.  I serve the world moment to        moment in a much higher and all-inclusive manner.
b. I don’t like the word “career” because it is too limiting.  I feel it expresses society’s           tendency to put everyone in little boxes.
c. …is non-existent.
d. …serves an important role on behalf of society.  Even though there is a lot of stress          involved and not everyone agrees with what I am trying to do, I know that I am                 making a difference in the long run.
e. …gives me and those I love the good things in life.

2. When I see something I don’t understand…

a. …I approach with caution.
b. …I pay attention to it long enough to see whether or not it is relevant to the world and     proceed from there.
c. …I don’t worry about it because I’m already well versed in and paying attention to the      things that are really important to me.  Why waste time?
d. …I am fascinated by it and need to understand what it really means.
e. …I check within to receive an explanation and then go from there.

3. Intimate relationships…

a. …must serve or contribute to my purpose in life.  A supportive partner can really help      when the pressure is mounting.
b. …are something I tend to be in control of.
c. …often end up with me being abandoned.
d. …aren’t all they’re cracked up to be, but in the long run that doesn’t really matter.
e. …are an area of my life that I am working to improve.
f. …are a profound way to come to know oneself and explore the Universe together.

4. Reality…

a. …can be pretty harsh.  You have to work hard to get to where you need to be in life.        But once you are there you can make a difference for the world.
b. …is different things to different people.  I live in a higher reality than most, but I’m          working from this higher vantage point, using my financial and political resources to         help to change the world for the better.
c. …is spiritual in nature.
d. …is a cruel task master.  You just have to do the best you can for yourself and hope         things turn out OK.
e. …is that the society we have created for ourselves really sucks.  I don’t want to have        anything to do with it.
f. …is that there are haves and have nots.  It is much better to be one of the haves.

5. People often say that…

a. …they don’t know how I know the things that I know.
b. …they are grateful for how I’ve helped them to transform themselves.
c. …I am too selfish.
d. …I work too hard.
e. …I am too lazy.
f. …I could make more of myself than I have.
g. …I am wise.
h. …I am power hungry.
i. …they don’t know how I’ve managed to achieve the things that I have.
j. …I am living in an ivory tower and don’t know how the real people live.

6.  I think the information on this site...

a. … is unsettling.  I don’t really know why, but I don’t like some of the things that it has     to say.
b. … isn’t very good.  I can see a lot of holes in its logic.
c. … is inspiring and uplifting.  I really like it.
d. …will help a lot of people.
e. …is fascinating.  I’d like to be in third stage but don’t know how it would be possible.
f. …is OK.  I guess I could take it or leave it.

7. Visualizing infinity

a. Everyone knows that the human mind cannot truly conceive of infinity.
b. …is literally quite easy for me.  I can see it clearly in my mind.
c. There isn’t any real point to doing that is there?
d. ...is not very easy for me to do but with practice I can make some headway.

8. When there is a big crisis my first instinct is to…

a. Look after those in my care or turn to the person who is supposed to look after me.
b. Find a safe place to hide.
c. Find a safe place to hide.  I can feel myself shutting down.
d. Lose it.
e. Panic and try to look after others.  What happens to me doesn’t matter.
f. Get ready to attack the threat.
g. Take my cues from the situation.  See the bigger picture and do whatever is needed           while staying in touch with myself.
h. Turn to the spiritual help that is always there for me.

9. My life

a. …is really quite ordinary and average.  I can’t say I have any reason to complain.
b. …is really quite ordinary and average.  Most people do have a pretty rough life really        and I guess mine is no exception.  But there is no reason to make a big deal about it.  If     you keep going you can get things to turn out OK.  Keep your head down and your           ears clean.
c. …is driving me crazy with the amount of crisis I am experiencing right now.  When           will it all be over?  It seems like it is just one thing after another.
d. …is an exciting adventure.  Might be cliché but it is true.  I don’t mind being a happy        cliché.

10. Happiness

a. …comes and goes, everyone knows that.  No reason to be unhappy with your lot in          life though.
b. Is anyone really happy?
c. …seems to always be an illusive dream for me.
d. …is something I am working hard to one day achieve.  I’ll never give up on trying to         get what I want out of life.
e. …is something I am working hard to one day achieve.  I keep working on myself and        my emotions.  I am determined to solve life’s spiritual riddle.
f. …is my natural state of being.  I don’t really think about it.
g. …is my natural state of being.  Whatever may be happening on the surface of life I            have a deep core of basic contentment.  I feel I’ve solved many of the riddles of life.

11. When things get rough…

a. …I often feel like I just can’t take it anymore.  Sometimes I want to completely throw       in the towel and give up on life and myself.  My life right now seems so difficult and         then it gets even worse!?!  It feels so hopeless sometimes.
b. …I know I can make it through.  Beneath it all I have a deep sense of satisfaction in         life.  Even when things look rough I know there is a reason for everything that                  happens and I trust in the outcome of my life’s experience.  All of life – positive or            negative – is a grand adventure that I find fascinating to watch and feel honored to           experience.
c. …I just take a break from it all.  I read a book, go to a bar, talk to my friends.  I have        my ways of escaping.  I just try to forget all about it.  There’s really nothing else you          can do except wait for the storm to be over.  Then life gets back to normal.
d. …I’m strong enough to handle most of the difficulties in life.  Things never really get        that rough.  I do whatever needs to be done and then relax and leave the rest to work        itself out.  Somehow life always tends to work out in my favor – more often sooner           than later.

12.  My parents:

a. Have always been happily married.
b. Had their relationships struggles but are now happily married (to one another or to            other people).
c. Aren’t very happy but they stay together.
d. I did not have two parents.
e. Have split up.  They are still not very happy people.
f. Have split up.  One is happy, one is not.
g. Have split up.  Single or married, they are both happy people.

13.  The family I grew up in:

a. Was pretty normal and stable.  I guess I should be thankful.
b. Was pretty normal and stable.  I wonder what happened to me?
c. Was a mess.
d. Was a mess but we managed anyway.
e. Was a mess and I am now doing all I can to heal myself as a result.
f. Was a mess, but I’ve come a long way since then and can look back on all of my                experiences with gratitude.  I love my family but know when to keep my distance if           necessary.
g. Had its problems, but in the long run things have worked out well.
h. Was absolutely amazing.  I am so thankful to have been born into that family and              realize how lucky I was to grow up in such a special environment.

14. My mother…

a. …was/is a good, strong person.  She gave me the foundation that helped me to                 achieve the goals I’ve set for myself in life.
b. …was largely absent from my life in my youth.
c. …was/is very powerful but very negative.  She hurt me a great deal.
d. …was/is an incredible person.  I know that a lot of people think their mother is a             saint, but in my case it’s true.  She was strong and caring with great spiritual insight.          She gave me strength, independence and encouraged my inner vision.
e. …was/is an incredible person.  I know that a lot of people think their mother is a              saint, but in my case it’s true.  She sacrificed a great deal and never complained.
f. …was/is probably pretty average.

15. My father…

a. …really let me down.
b. …was/is a good solid person with a lot of integrity.  He shared many of my mother’s        values.
c. …was/is a good solid person with a lot of integrity.  He was not as practical as my            mother however.
d. …was/is a bit of a dreamer who never seems to accomplish anything of real value.
e. …was/is absent.  I don’t really have a father.
